Executive Pastry Chef

If anyone was born to bake, it’s Chef Amanda Pallagi. Since joining Four Seasons Hotel Austin in 2008, she’s grown from a front-of-house role into the heart of the pastry kitchen, where she’s led the team as Executive Pastry Chef since 2016.

Over nearly two decades with Four Seasons, Amanda has mastered everything from laminated doughs and breads to wedding cakes, plated desserts, ice creams, and large-scale amenities for Ciclo, Live Oak, In-Room Dining, and events. She has represented the Hotel at community fundraisers, earned recognition in Pastry Arts Magazine and Forbes, and sits on the advisory board of Escoffier Culinary School.

Among her proudest achievements are the Hotel’s nationally celebrated gingerbread displays, which she has elevated into whimsical, showstopping holiday traditions. For Amanda, the magic of pastry lies in its endless variety: “Here, I get to do a little bit of everything—and that keeps me inspired.”
